Get to know a local author at the DeMotte Library in May

Janeen Swart is a retired DeMotte Elementary School teacher who has taken up the art of writing stories in her spare time.

Now a published children’s author, Mrs. Swart would like to share her newest book, “A Dog and His Boy” as the Friends of the DeMotte Library introduce Mrs. Swart and her work at a “Meet and Greet The Author Day.”

Held on Tuesday, May 14 @ 2 pm, all ages are invited to hear this local author’s story of the relationship between a dog and a little boy who learns life lessons from his best friend.

The book includes Bible verses along with each scene, reflecting the lessons learned. The colorful illustrations will vividly portray the interaction between man’s best friend and his owner.

Copies of the book will be available for purchase and signing by the author during the program.
