Between the Lines

From flowers to covered bridges to hot air balloons, Terri Ulbrich sees the beauty in everything around her through the lens of her camera. Family and friends depend on this talented photographer to capture special events on film, and Terri never attends special occasions without bringing her camera along.



 

Janeen Swart is a retired DeMotte Elementary School teacher who has taken up the art of writing stories in her spare time.

Celebrate National Library Week April 14-20

This week, Jasper County Public Library, located in Rensselaer, DeMotte and Wheatfield, joins libraries in schools, campuses and communities nationwide in celebrating National Library Week, a time to highlight the value of libraries, librarians and library workers.



 

In preparing for a Harry Potter-themed party, a staff member this week introduced the rest of us to the wonders of Madam Rosmerta's Butterbeer Cupcakes.

We are unveiling a brand new catalog next month that we hope will make things easier than ever for you to find and request books and manage your library account.



 

Kids who take part in the library programs get to do more than just read books. Sometimes they get to taste them as well.



 

This week we have added some new material to our collection of local news files, thanks to a random phone call.
