Capture your shadow

Printer-friendlyPrinter-friendly

The groundhog isn't the only one casting a shadow in February, and with all the nice weather we keep having, this may be a good time to play around with your shadow a bit.

What you'll need is a place to draw with chalk, like a driveway, or a park sidewalk, some chalk, a friend, and a good sunny day.

For more details, check out this article from Tinkerlab.

ideas!

  • Your shadow changes depending on the time of day and where the sun is in the sky. Try letting your morning shadow meet your late afternoon shadow and see how they change.
  • Wear something different, like wings or a monster hat.
  • Make different poses!
  • Go crazy!
