DeMotte Summer Reading

Kids entering grades K-5 are invited to come to the DeMotte Library’s “Build a Better World” Summer Reading Program, beginning in June.

With the extra incentives of prizes and fun, weekly programs for kids of this age that are held in conjunction with the Summer Reading Program, children in this age group will be excited to read, read, read during the summer months.

Kids signed up for “Build a Better World” will enjoy entertaining programs that will be held each Tuesday at 2 pm, beginning on June 6 with a juggler, Indiana Wild on June 13, a magic show on June 20, Yoga on June 27 (bring a towel or yoga mat), Interactive computer game on July 11 and the program will conclude on July 18 with a party and prizes.

Toddler programs

Toddlers age 2-4, along with their caregivers, are invited to attend half hour long, weekly Summer Story Time sessions, held each Wednesday @ 2 pm in the Children’s Area of the Library throughout the month of June with the following themes: ‘Nature’ on June 7, ‘Block Party’ on June 14, ‘Yoga’ on June 21, and ‘Building Words’ on June 28.

Story Time sessions could consist of stories, rhymes, finger plays, crafts and other fun activities for this age group. Registration is required for these Story Time sessions.
