Fourth Thursday Book Club

You are invited to attend our adult book discussions meeting at 1 p.m. the 4th Thursday from January through October and the 3rd Thursday in November. Discussions are held in the Library Meeting Room.

Lapsit Storytime

Age birth-2

Enjoy 30-40 minutes of reading, songs, fingerplays, and socialization with other yong children and their caregivers. Each session of Lapsit Story Time consists of a variety of activities, such as music, stories, toys to play with and other fun movements.

Library Lego

Ages 4-14
Love building or creating things? Love bright shiny colors? Love Legos? Kids age 4-14 are invited to create Lego shapes each month during our library Lego programs at the all three libraries.

Magnificent Monday

Patrons of all ages with developmental disabilities are invited to come to this storytime, held in DeMotte the first Monday of each month at 10 a.m. (Second Monday when closed on the first Monday.) Also in Rensselaer the third Monday of each month at 1 p.m. Programs are different at each location and change each month.

Maker Monday

Kids and teens in grades 1-8 are invited to create during the Wheatfield Library’s next Maker Monday Program, the last Monday of each month from 4-5 pm.
This hour long afternoon program is free to attend and is presented by Amara from the Purdue Extension Office and volunteers from the KV Robotics Club.

Men's Book Group

Men from all over the Jasper County library system are invited to join the men’s book group.

We meet at the Rensselaer Library on the fourth Wednesday of the month at 10 am except in November and December when we meet the third Wednesday of the month to avoid conflicts with holidays.

Morning Movies at Wheatfield

This program, free and open to all interested adults, is held at 10 a.m. on the fourth Thursday of every month.  A variety of movies, newly released to DVD, are shown.  Popcorn and beverages are served.
