Printer-friendlyComputer and Internet Use
The library provides computers which allow access to a variety of electronic resources, including research resources, office software, children’s games, the Internet, and the library catalog. These computers are available for use by all patrons and are open on a first-come, first-served basis.
Patrons are welcome to use their personal laptops and other personal computing devices in the library, and to plug in to charge, so long as they do not pose a hazard to others. For more information, please read our Computer Use Policy.
All patrons using the Internet, wired or wireless, are subject to the terms of the library’s Internet Use Policy.
For more information about wireless printing, see our Wireless Services page.
The library staff can provide limited assistance in computer use. For more information, please see our Patron Tasks and Devices Policy.
Exam Proctoring
Exam proctoring is available at all locations of JCPL by appointment only. Appointments must be made at least 48 hours in advance of the exam with the designated proctor. Because of paperwork and scheduling, additional time is strongly recommended. The service is free but postal or printing fees may be involved, and the patron will be responsible for all fees in advance.
Please read our Proctoring Policy for more information.
