Can I request the library purchase an item (for Libby)?

Patrons can request the library purchase a book or other item at any library location, or online, using our Suggest A Purchase form.

We will attempt to fill all requests, but we may not be able to purchase all items. Also, Libby does not have all ebook or eaudio titles that are available. This is dependent on publisher agreement.

If requesting an item for OverDrive, please let us know whether you are requesting an eBook or eAUDIObook.

If requesting an item for OverDrive, we cannot place holds for patrons, however items are ordered weekly and usually available within 24 hours of purchase. If requesting a physical book or item, purchasing to shelf, including cataloging and item processing, can take longer.

It is also possible to request physical books in the pre-pub (pre-published) stage and to get on a hold list for the item at that time.
