Celebrate Star Wars Month at your library

It's Star Wars Month, and JCPL is celebrating with a variety of fun activities and events. From STEM programming to adult trivia nights, there's something for everyone to enjoy.

For younger fans of the Star Wars universe, ages 3-5 can check out the Pre-STEM: Space! [1] program at the DeMotte library on May 15. A variety of space-themed stations will use STEM (science, technology, engineering, and math) programming that brings the movies to life.

But Star Wars Month isn't just for kids. Adult fans of the series can also get in on the action with Star Wars trivia nights on May 19 at DeMotte [2] and May 23 at Rensselaer. [3] These events are a great way to connect with other fans and deepen your knowledge of the Star Wars universe.

Play the spaced-based Among Us in VR at the Rensselaer Library on May 16 [4] and also sample some of the Star Wars games available for Oculus.

One of the great things about Star Wars Month is that it encourages people of all ages to explore their creativity and imagination. Whether you're building a model spaceship, writing fan fiction, or designing your own Jedi costume, there are endless ways to express your love for the series.

And libraries are the perfect place to do it - they offer a safe and welcoming environment where fans can come together and share their enthusiasm.

Come check out a movie, or a tv series, [5] or one of the many Star Wars universe books for all ages from kids [6] to adults [7] that the library has to offer.
