Time is on your side with our longer loan limits

Printer-friendlyPrinter-friendly

At JCPL we regularly review our policies and services, carefully considering the needs of our patrons, our resources, best practices, and federal, state, and local requirements for public libraries.

In June we are launching new circulation rules that we think will be welcomed by patrons of all ages. We are extending loan limits and renewals on some of our most popular materials just in time for the lazy, hazy, crazy days of summer.

Beginning June 1, patrons may check-out three educational movies for three weeks with the option to renew the items one time. In addition, there will no longer be limits on the amount of computer software that may be checked out at one time, and one renewal will be allowed.

Patrons may also check-out up to ten music CDs and renew one time if they would like. Loan limits have also been increased on entertainment movies. Patrons will now be allowed to check-out three entertainment movies for three days.

We hope that you will enjoy these changes, made with you in mind. We recognize that with higher gas prices, you may not be able to visit the library as frequently as you did in the past. Now you can stock up on all of your favorites and keep them just a little bit longer.

For a complete look at the changes, which take effect June 1, check out our updated Circulation Policy.
