Not a bad way to spend your summer

Printer-friendlyPrinter-friendly

Don't sit around the house this Summer; sign up for Summer Reading at your local Jasper County library. You'll get the chance to win cash or prizes, as well as take part in some cool teen programs.

At the DeMotte & Wheatfield libraries, programs are Thursdays from 2-3pm, registration required. At the Rensselaer library, programs are Tuesdays at 2pm, registration required.

Programs are different at every location, but you can learn how to stop a bully, or make something awesome out of old cds, or explore an Indiana cave.

Summer reading prizes are based on how much you read of the books you want to read, but if you are looking for a book suggestion, the Wheatfield library invites teens in grades 6-12 to a Book Discussion on June 20th from 3:30-4:30 pm on the book Unwind by Neil Schusterman.  Copies of the book are available at the front desk.

Also this summer, the library is holding a Pinterest photo contest. For more information, check out our Pin it to Win it contest page.

Whatever you choose to do with your summer, we hope it is fun and productive. But if you're stuck for something to do, stop in and see what we offer.
