JCPL Books Databases

The resources on these pages are provided FREE to Jasper County Public Library patrons to help with research and entertainment needs. Except where noted, all of these resources can be used at home or away from the library. Use from home will require a JCPL library card, and some services may require you to establish an account in order to save preferences or other materials. This information is not retained by JCPL.

LibriVox volunteers (you can be a volunteer) record chapters of books in the public domain, and then release the audio files back onto the net for free. Most of the texts come from Project Gutenberg, and are hosted by the Internet Archive.

Indiana public libraries have a new service to support children and families. One of our INSPIRE providers, TeachingBooks, is now including at no additional cost access to BookConnections.org, a public library interface that focuses on enriching everyone’s connections to children’s and young adult books.
